Contact lenses are more than just an alternative to glasses—they can offer a wider, uninterrupted field of view without the hassle of foggy lenses or raindrop blurs.

At Northwest Family Vision, we’re dedicated to finding the right contact lens fit for you. We prioritize your eye health while delivering precise vision correction. Book your contact lens exam to experience your vision in a whole new way.
Request AppointmentWhat to Expect from a Contact Lens Exam
Before enjoying the benefits of contact lenses, you’ll need a specialized contact lens exam. This is a specialized eye exam that’s different from your routine comprehensive eye exam.
We’ll assess your eye health, measure pupil size and cornea curvature, and determine the right type of contact lens for you. We’ll also teach you how to properly insert, remove, and care for your lenses.
Finding Your Fit: We’re Here to Personalize the Process
We offer a variety of contact lens options to suit your lifestyle and vision needs. Whether you prefer the convenience of monthly or daily disposable soft lenses or the precision of rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses, we can help you find the right fit.
We use trial lenses to help you experience different contact lenses firsthand. Trial lenses allow you to test your contact lenses’ comfort, clarity, and overall feel before committing to a prescription.
We’ll work closely with you to find the fit that prioritizes your eye health and seamlessly aligns with your lifestyle and work demands.
Your Contact Lens Options
At Northwest Family Vision, our variety of standard and specialty contact lens options can address your unique vision needs.
Spherical Lenses
Spherical lenses are the most common or basic type of contact lens. They have a simple curved surface that can improve clarity for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and mild astigmatism.
If you have uneven eye curvature, like moderate astigmatism, you might experience visual distortions with traditional spherical lenses. In that case, we may recommend an aspheric lens.
Aspheric Lenses
Unlike standard contact lenses, aspheric lenses have a flatter curve. The shape helps prevent visual distortions and offers sharper vision, especially in low-light conditions. Aspheric lenses can also help improve night vision and reduce glare.
Scleral Lenses
Scleral lenses are large-diameter contact lenses that vault over the cornea and rest on the sclera (the white part of the eye). They can be ideal for individuals with irregular corneal surfaces, dry eye, or diseases like keratoconus.
Toric Lenses
Toric lenses are designed to correct astigmatism, a condition that causes blurred vision due to an irregularly shaped cornea. Toric lenses have a specific curvature to compensate for corneal irregularity.
Multifocal Lenses
Multifocal lenses are designed to accommodate multiple prescriptions in one lens, assisting vision from different distances without switching glasses or contacts. They can also be ideal for treating presbyopia, a condition that causes age-related issues with close vision.
